After my super productive summer, school started, and life got busy. I'm still revising, but I have less time to devote to just writing. I finished revising my older book and sent it to a publisher. Writing a query letter and a synopsis is not my strength. I found some pointers online, and it's probably the best query I've written. Still, I don't feel very confident even though I feel good about how the book came out. I'm just not good at selling my work.
I'm revising the newest book right now. The first revision is usually fun. There are whole chunks that can be taken out and whole pieces that are missing and need to be written. I'm enjoying it. I wish I had more time to work on it.
I've started theater again, and rehearsals are going well. I have a great group of students with some new faces. Working with the kids always gives me a lot of good writing ideas, and I came up with an idea for my next play. Good thing because I need a script for the spring. I love that my job forces me to create on a schedule. Plus, writing for the kids keeps it fun.
